I chose you when I planned creation... Ephesians 1:11-12

Question:

hey, i love this site and i come here for help and find it really helpful but i was abit concerned at this thing. im 18 and not completely stable in that i suffer from anxiety attacks and depression and times when i dont know how I feel and im wavering between ok and almost suicidal. I wouldnt kill myself-i am Christian and i believe God would kill me himself if he wanted me to be dead. But i want some way of escaping the intensity and pain my mind seems to be filled with. I was reading the postings on this site and it said. 'Love is found in death. Love is found only in death.' What does this mean to an almost suicidal person looking for some love and comfort?! Is it some bible verse or something? i probably just made some mistake-im not feeling so great today, but i was concerned someone else could take it badly too. thanks for your time, God Bless

Answer:

Hi ,

I have heard similar cries from many young people. There are so many teens today that are crying out for some comfort from the pain of living. Sometimes things seem hopeless...but we serve a God of victory. We serve a God of love. Whatever you are struggling with...He has already gone through...He has already been victorious over. In those times of loneliness, run to Him. In those times of pain, receive His comfort. He is waiting with arms wide-open to embrace you, His daughter. If you don't have a prayer life, now is the time to develop one. If you don't read the Word, now is the time to start. Start off your days in prayerful communion with Him. There you will receive your strength. I know that there are no words I can type here that will take away the pain...but He'll take the pain away! He loves you! He will never forsake you! Give Him your heart!

As far as what you saw written on the site...I'm not sure where that is at. I would say though that in essence, it is true. There's power in poverty and life in death! The love of God was shown in the deepest way through the death of the Messiah. There is a death that we must die everyday in order to walk with the Lord. We must daily die to our flesh...to the wants and desires of our flesh. In that place of death we will find ourselves wading deeper in the love of God.

I pray that you find some comfort and understanding through all of this. If you would like to talk more, or need someone to listen more...feel free to contact me . I pray that the grace and peace of Jesus fill your heart, mind, and soul through the time of struggle. Be blessed!
