Question:
Hello,
Some friends of mine and I have been working in community based programs on the
front lines for several years now. We are all Christians and we want to begin
our own ministry. We all share the same passion of being on the front lines and
reaching our to the unreachable in the City of Detroit where we all are employed.
Simply put, God told us to do this, however we are all ignorant of the business
aspects, and legal aspects of this. I am interested in any information, web links,
or contact numbers anyone can provide me with to make this happen.

My goodness, sorry it took so long to answer. Anointed Youth has been busy with changing hosts and a lot of problems have occured, but we have not forgotten about you :)
While most of us don't know much about business I can tell you a few things. I have tried myself to get Anointed Youth to become it's on organization. Most of what you need to do is (not necessarily in this order) 1)get a lawyer! 2)write out a business plan (yes even for non-profits), 3) become registered state and/or both state and nationally as an organization (non or for-profit, 4) last but definably not least PRAY ABOUT IT!! I'm sure you already have but continue continue continue. Starting an organization even for Christ can get hard.
If your business is non profit a good link to check out is http://www.mapnp.org/library/strt_org/strt_np/strt_np.htm . If it's for-profit the first place you should contact is your local state courthouse- they should be able to put you in the correct direction, or do a search online :)
